Urinals are the mount of manly freedom that separates our “Number 1” from our “Number 2”. It sits with smells of many types of urinal cakes of majesty.
But, like any plumbing category. Urinals can cause problems in your business or home. Like toilets, urinals can overflow. Yes, I realize that liquids are the only thing rushing through the pipes. But, I am here to highlight the ways that….YES! For sure. What causes urinal overflow? Let take a look.

The urine within the Urinal can cause sediment build-up. It is gross but it can happen! Urine has proteins and other microscopic particles varying from person to person.

This is common in restaurants and bars. If you sell beer it could be yeast within the urine. Clogging the drain.Also, it could be regular sediment build-up!

Like water heaters. There could be sediment build-up within the drain of the urinal. Sediment are microscopic and organic particles in the water that tend to stick and pile up in pipes.

How to Fix Clogged Urinal
Like any other toilet. Urinals can clear with normal supplies
Snake
Snake’s are tools used by plumber to clear blockages within pipes. It is metal wire that is pushed through until a blockage is met and cleared.
Auger
An auger is another tool used to clear clogs. BUT, there is a specific auger for urinals!
Regular old Hanger
If you are not a handy-man. You can try a bent coat hanger to move and unclog the clog.
Liquid Drain Cleaner
In hardware stores, you can find liquid drain cleaners that you pour down the pipes to clear them. Be carful though, these products do contain hazardous chemicals.
Urinal Overflow Due to too Much Water
If you think that the overflow problem is not so much drain but more too much water. Then you should replace the diaphram within the the sloan valve.
