Here are the top 5 things Millennials expect:
#1: A Millennial Plumber shows up on time – a Millennial’s time.
Millennial’s understand that being on time is important just like anybody else, but with technology at their fingertips, tardiness is often explained by 
text message. “Be there in 15 minutes,” indicates to some customers that their time doesn’t matter to you (especially those whom are not as text savvy and on a time crunch). With GPS and other texting mechanisms, the Plumber should always be in contact and be on time.
#2: NO Talking from the Plumber – just type it out.
With technology controlling every aspect of millennials’s lives, it’s not very surprising that 41% would rather handle business by email or text message while on the clock. Face to face interactions and even telephone conversations may also be uncomfortable because most of the time you can find or fill out questions and answers online.
#3: Job Done right.
Millennials maintain their parent’s standards of excellence. While they don’t necessary want to do the work themselves, they expect the job to be done right the first time. They don’t have spare time for bad workmanship, nor do they want to wait for a repair to be redone.
#4: Tech Savvy.
Outdated equipment can slow the service call process down. This may be annoying to the Millennial. They are used to technology and having information readily available at their fingertips. They prefer to use electronic receipts verses the old-fashioned paper method.
#5. Clean, Neat – no mess to clean up.
Millennials are in a hurry. They don’t want to spend extra time cleaning up after their Plumber, or any service professional that comes into their home. They want everything to be left neat and tidy after the work is completed.
Millennials look for feedback when driving their decision about who to hire. It’s important to know what others say about the experience they receive, and this is a huge factor in deciding who to call.
