There is Danger in using Drain Chemicals.
Drain chemicals are easy to use and a lot cheaper than calling in a professional. But what you don’t know is most cleaners contain poisonous chemicals that could be hazardous for you.

To avoid all the situations above, you should make sure you are well prepared and doing your best at preventing the blockages in the first place.
1)Limit the amount of solid material that goes down the drain.
2)Toilets are meant for toilet paper (crazy) and never anything else.
3)Bathtubs have easy drains to clog, prevent hair from getting caught by using a hair trap.
4)NEVER PUT GREASE DOWN A SINK! When grease hits cold water, it becomes a nightmare for your drain. Instead pour grease into a can and throw it out later.
Using the above tips can help prevent having to use drain chemicals in the first place. But, if its too late and you already have a clog, these are the tools that could help.
1) A plunger (Make sure you get the correct one-a cup plunger vs a flange plunger. Do some “googling” or talk to a professional about which one is right for you.
2) Drain snake (There are many different drain snakes you can buy. Again, do some research or talk to a professional about which one is right for you).
Between the prevention tips and the tools listed above, you can save yourself from having to use dangerous chemicals AND from having a plumber come visit.
If these tips don’t work call a professional for drain cleaning in Indianapolis.
