Local Greenwood Plumber goes all out with a Pink Plumbing Truck to stand up to Cancer.

A Pink Plumbing Truck is on the loose in Greenwood, Indiana! “Go big or go home!”  That’s the sentiment at local Greenwood Plumber, Carter’s My Plumber, when it comes to promoting cancer prevention and research for a cure.  The Carter’s My Plumber team decided to wrap one of their plumbing trucks with pink.  They are promoting Breast Cancer Awareness this month, along with all cancer awareness.

Why would a Greenwood Plumber drive home Pink?

Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be impacted by Breast Cancer?  230,000 women will be diagnosed this year, and 39,000 will die from breast cancer.  The numbers are staggering.  The more people who are made aware of this disease the more prevention and research will be done.  It’s important to take a stance in regard to promoting awareness in our communities.  We have chosen to promote with a Pink Plumbing Truck, Pink shirts and hats, and pink wrist bands.  Every Plumber on our team wears a badge symbolize someone in their lives who may be impacted by breast cancer.

Plumbing Technician has customer’s sign truck

Our plumbing technician, Paul Allen, asks his customers to sign his truck if they would like to.  Paul’s wife, Marina, had a very dear friend lose the battle to breast cancer a few years ago.  It was a hard fought battle, and she leaves behind two small precious children.

Donating to Susan G. Komen Foundation for research

Since October is Breast Cancer awareness, we are offering a $25 discount to all customer’s and we are matching the $25 to the Susan G. Komen foundation for cancer research.
