The Man In Pink
Real plumbers wear pink at Carter’s My Plumber could not be more true for resident plumber, Paul Allen. Paul has a special spot in his heart when it comes to Breast Cancer Awareness. Back in 2013, Paul’s wife’s (Marina) best friend died from Breast Cancer. He wears pink in memory of her. He says, “the breast cancer did not kill her, it metastasized to her liver.” His friend was pregnant at the time of her diagnosis and decided to go without treatment for the safety of her unborn child. After delivery, she had a double mastectomy, however, the cancer had already spread through her body to her liver. Just short of her daughters 1st birthday, she passed away in October of 2013. Paul pridefully wears pink year-round in the support of his wife’s best friend and for Breast Cancer Awareness.
About Paul Allen
Paul is one of our most senior Plumbers here at Carter’s My Plumber. His work ethic and abilities are remarkable at his age. Not only can he still dig a trench like a young lumberjack, but he also packs in years of wisdom to troubleshoot and solve difficult plumbing jobs. Carter’s My Plumber is proud to have Paul as part of their team. Customer’s call in to specifically requesting Paul and his pink truck for their jobs.
The Pink Truck
Paul Allen pridefully drives the Carter’s My Plumber Pink Truck all year long. He even asks if his customers would like to sign his truck in support of breast cancer. Our Pink Truck at Carter’s My Plumber is a symbol of support for all cancer types. 1 in 8 women will be impacted by breast cancer, 30,000 women will be diagnosed this year, and 39,000 will die from breast cancer. By having Real Plumbers Wear Pink at Carter’s My Plumber, we have decided to fight for a cause. In October of 2017, the Carter’s My Plumer team wrapped Paul’s truck in Pink to show their support for his family, the community, and for the cure.
